Authored and art-directed — long-form technical publishing, cover to layout. The cover, the type system, and the book design, from one hand.

A dense, book-length manuscript needed to arrive as a real book — not a printout. I wrote the text, then took the whole thing through design: the cover, the interior type system, and the page layout. Authoring and art direction, end to end, so the reading experience was mine from first page to last.
A cover does two jobs: it has to hold up as a thumbnail and as an object you'd pick up. I designed this one to do both — a confident title treatment, restraint everywhere else, and enough weight that the spine feels like it earns its place on a shelf. The look is deliberately serious; the book asks for attention, so the cover does too.
Technical writing runs long, and long reading punishes a loose type system. I set the hierarchy — display, headings, running text, and the monospace reserved for anything set apart — and laid out the pages so a demanding subject stays legible chapter after chapter. Consistent spacing, honest margins, and a rhythm that lets a reader keep going.
The result is one coherent design voice across a full-length book: cover, type, and layout built to belong to each other.
